Luscious Caramel Cake by Goldilocks

I love cakes, they are my weakness! And every time a bakeshop, like Goldilocks Bakeshop, has a new flavored premium cake, I see to it that I buy one and taste it.

When I saw on television the new advertisement of Goldilocks cake , I was already thinking of how this cake will taste. It’s their new Luscious Caramel Cake, wow! Just from it’s name, I know that it’s gonna be another premium cake that I will surely like. And so, I bought one for my husband’s birthday.

Luscious Caramel Cake by Goldilocks is a mocha and vanilla cake filled with lots of caramel and butter filling inside and out of the cake. It only costs P395.00 or $9.07, that is why it is affordable. This cake looks so tempting! I love mocha and caramel that’s why I am so excited to buy one on my hubby’s special day! I was just surprised to know that after eating a slice, I’m not satisfied with its taste. I guess mocha and caramel do not blend perfectly with each other. I did not even get another slice for me to eat. It’s just so sweet that it did not pass my sweet taste buds, I easily got tired of eating it. I still prefer caramel and chocolate as a combination. Well, that’s only my judgement, I don’t know if you like this caramel cake, taste for yourself.

Mango Gelatin

Indulge yourself to this delicious mango gelatin! A dessert that is so easy to make! You and your kids will surely love it!

Since there are abundant fresh produce of mangoes, you can do more than just eating it fresh! Make it a gelatin! You can do this in just 15 minutes. Here’s how:

INGREDIENTS:

4 large ripe mangoes

1 sachet of unflavored gelatin powder (25g)

1/2 cup cold water

5 cups water for boiling

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup unsweetened evaporated milk (optional)

1 teaspoon vanilla essence

PREPARATIONS:

1. Put the mango flesh in a blender. Process until pureed.

2. Sprinkle gelatin in a cup of cold water, let it stand for a minute.

3. Pour gelatin and sugar to boiled water, turn to low heat and stir until dissolved.

4. Add mango puree. Mix thoroughly.

5. Add vanilla essence, stir.

6. Pour into dessert bowls and chill for an hour or until firm.

7. Top with whipped cream and sliced mangoes if desired. Serve.

Banana Smoothie with Strawberry Yogurt

Banana smoothie is a very common healthy drink we usually serve to our family. Make it more delicious by adding strawberry yogurt! You will surely love it!

The combination of fresh banana and strawberry yogurt makes this smoothie more tempting! You can actually choose any yogurt flavor you want for this banana smoothie. I chose strawberry yogurt for this drink since it is my favorite flavor of yogurt. It turned out so delicious! Try this to your family!

Ingredients :

2 ripe bananas

1/2 cup of strawberry yogurt

1/2 teaspoon of honey or 1 spoon of sugar

3-4 ice cubes

Preparations :

Combine all the ingredients in a blender jar. You can slice the ripe bananas first, before placing it in the blender.

Blend until smooth and frothy. Serve immediately.

Note : You can exclude the honey or sugar, if you prefer.

Steamed Shrimps and Broccoli with Oyster Sauce

Are you looking for a healthy seafood recipe? You will surely not resist this steamed shrimps and broccoli recipe of mine that I used to serve for my family! The addition of oyster sauce gives this dish a delicious punch! Try it!

Shrimp is one of my favorites and the best seafood I can serve to my family. The nutritious broccoli is what I usually add to my dishes to make our meals healthy. I usually don’t fry shrimps, I steam them instead, to keep them moist and vibrant. Steaming also helps retain all the natural flavors and nutrients of the ingredients. I always prefer oyster sauce to my dishes, it fits and is best for seafoods. Here’s how I prepare it:

Ingredients :



15-20 medium shrimps

300g broccoli,cut

2 tablebspoons olive oil

3 tablespoons oyster sauce

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 teaspoon salt

1 medium sized onion,chopped

3 cloves garlic,minced

Preparations :


1. Mix shrimps and soy sauce in a bowl. Transfer them to a heatproof dish together with broccoli florets.

2. Cook in a steamer for 8-10 minutes or until shrimps turn to pink and the broccoli florets are tender.

3. Let the shrimps cool then peel them.

4. Saute onions and garlic with olive oil. Add the shrimps and broccoli.

5. Seasoned with oyster sauce and some salt depending on your taste.

6. Serve hot.
